Manchester United are reportedly considering a loan move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham in January this year, and are on high alert regarding the possibility of a transfer.

The highly-rated 20-year-old impressed at his former club Sunderland, helping them win promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.

However, he left this summer to join Dortmund and is currently struggling for regular minutes, which is far from ideal for a World Cup year.

According to TEAMtalk, his name has now emerged on Manchester United’s radar as he could potentially leave Dortmund on loan in January, with the Red Devils in desperate need of more options in midfield.

United could have a major headache heading into January, as reported here in today’s Daily Briefing.

Koby Mainu is not liked by Ruben Amorim and wants to leave, while United’s main targets, Brighton’s Carlos Baleva and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, are likely to be unavailable for the season.

However, if Bellingham is indeed looking to leave BVB on loan, it could be ideal for MUFC as it would temporarily solve the problem without having to spend a fortune.

United fans may be excited about Bellingham’s arrival, but the jury is still out on whether he can truly emulate what his brother achieved in the game.

Jude Bellingham, who is currently at Real Madrid after playing for Dortmund, won the Champions League with the Bernabéu and established himself as one of the best players in the world, while he has already scored 44 caps and six goals for the England national team.

Although Jobe is two years younger, he still looks a long way from matching his brother, so United should probably aim a little higher if they want a midfielder capable of breaking into the top four.
