Manchester United are looking to strengthen their midfield unit with the signing of Victor Fromholt from FC Porto.
The 19-year-old Danish midfielder has been doing very well for the Portuguese national team and his performances have attracted the attention of the Red Devils. It will be interesting to see if they continue their interest and formally offer him a contract.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham are also keen on signing him, with Manchester United also said to be “closely monitoring” him. Either club could be an attractive transfer destination for the young midfielder, and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
Manchester United keen on Victor Fromholt
Manchester United need more control and composure in the center of the park and the 19-year-old would be a future investment for them. He may not be ready for the Premier League just yet, but it would be a smart signing in the long term. The 19-year-old could develop into a future star with coaching and experience.
The Spurs may also use Fromholt.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham make a move to sign him. They could use something higher quality even in the middle of the park. They have managed to sign talented young midfielders in recent seasons. Froholt could form a strong partnership with Lukas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Papu Matar Saar.
The opportunity to play under one of the best Danish managers in recent years will be an attractive one for the midfielder. Thomas Frank is doing a great job at Tottenham, who are currently third in the league table. They have recently won the European trophy and will be an attractive destination for most players.
