  • Forest need another reset after sacking manager Postecoglou

Nottingham Forest moved quickly to replace Ange Postecoglou, who had an unsuccessful short spell as head coach.

According to TBR Football, the club are already in talks with Sean Dyche and talks are progressing rapidly, with an initial deal proposed for the former Burnley and Everton manager.

The move shows how imminent Forest’s financial crisis has become.

Nottingham Forest are in crisis this season

Forest manager has already sacked two managers this season. Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked first, and after a disappointing spell at the club, Postecoglou was sacked after Forest lost at home to Chelsea.

Mr Postecoglou’s arrival at the City Ground was touted as a forward-looking appointment with pedigree, authority and the reputation of winning a silver medal. However, his reign lasted only eight games and 39 days, with the club without a win and without momentum.

The decision to move on came quickly after the 3-0 defeat at home to Chelsea, but Forest bosses now feel they must act quickly to avoid further damage.

Mr. Daish is the most likely candidate for a new search. He has a proven track record of stabilizing struggling teams in the Premier League, and his personal links with Forest, who played for him in their youth teams, add to his appeal.

But Forest doesn’t limit itself to just one option. In addition to Diche, other names such as Roberto Mancini and Marco Silva have also been mentioned in the early stages of consideration.

With Postecoglou’s tenure as manager short and the team in decline, the appointment of a new manager is more than just a name change, it is an urgent reset.

It remains to be seen whether Dyche will win the race to become Forest’s new manager or whether the club will move on to other goals.

The situation at Forest is a bit of a mess at the moment as the owners have not shown patience with the managers and have made rash decisions.

Given the way Evangelos Marinakis is operating at the club, managers would be hesitant to take on the job at this time.
