Manchester United star criticized as ‘terrible’ despite leading 1-0 against Liverpool

Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot has been heavily criticized as the team’s weak link in today’s away game to Liverpool.

The Red Devils took an early lead through Brian Mbeumo’s goal and held on mostly well, even if Alexander Isak should have done better with a big chance saved by Man United goalkeeper Senne Ramens.

However, Dalot has received a lot of criticism online, with prominent United vlogger Mark Goldbridge describing the Portugal international as “terrible”.

He is not alone in saying so, with Sun journalist Samuel Luckhurst also naming Dalot as the weakest player in Ruben Amorim’s squad so far.

It will be interesting to see if Dalot can improve as the game progresses, or if Amorim takes the same view and ultimately decides to leave the 26-year-old out.

Is Diogo Dalot good enough for Manchester United?

Dalot is a player who is being given a lot of chances at United right now, but he’s not a particularly impressive player.

Dalot has made more than 200 appearances for MUFC, and it’s hard to see why he wouldn’t be a replacement, as he doesn’t possess any particularly outstanding qualities that would make up for his overall inconsistency and error-proneness.

So far United have managed to hold on, but it’s hard to imagine this won’t be an issue against a top team like Liverpool over the next 45 minutes.
