Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee has been linked with a move from the club.
The Dutch international will need to leave the club to play regularly. He is not an important player for the Red Devils, so it will be interesting to see if he is willing to leave in January.
According to a report from the Daily Star, West Ham United are interested in signing the player. He has not lived up to expectations at Manchester United since his £36m move from Bologna. He has previously shown his quality at the Italian club and could be a useful signing for the Hammers if he can regain his form and confidence.
Joshua Zirkzee wants to play
According to reports, Zirkzee is worried about his chances of playing for the Netherlands at the next World Cup after being told by coach Ronald Koeman that he needs to play regularly at club level to qualify for the upcoming mega-event.
The 24-year-old is keen to represent his country at the World Cup and a move away from Manchester United in January could be ideal. He will be able to continue playing regular football at another club and get his career back on track.
Will Zirkzee stay in England?
It remains to be seen whether he is ready to remain in the Premier League with West Ham. There are also rumors of a relationship with an Italian club. Returning to his comfort zone may be ideal. He has not adapted to English football and a move to West Ham may not be ideal.
Furthermore, with the London club currently struggling after a disappointing start, Zirksee would benefit from joining a club with a more positive atmosphere. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
