BELLAIRE, Fla. — President Donald Trump’s granddaughter will be making a detour to play college golf at the University of Miami. Kai Trump will make his LPGA Tour debut next month.
Kai Trump received a sponsor exemption on Tuesday to compete in the Annika, which will be held at Pelican Golf Club from Nov. 13-16. The penultimate event on the LPGA schedule typically includes one of the strongest fields of the year outside of the majors.
“My dream was to compete against the best players in the world on the LPGA Tour,” President Trump said in a statement. “This event will be a great experience and I look forward to meeting and competing with many of my heroes and golf leaders as I make my LPGA Tour debut.”

She is currently No. 461 in the AJGA Girls Rankings and has competed in three events this year.
Kai Trump has over 6 million followers across four social media platforms and recently launched an apparel and lifestyle brand aimed at empowering young women in sports.
“Inviting sponsors is an important way to spotlight emerging talent and draw new attention to our tournament and the LPGA,” said Ricky Lasky, LPGA Chief Tour Business and Operations Officer. “Kai’s wide fan base and reach is helping us introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans. We look forward to watching her take the next step in her journey.”
Annika has already announced that WNBA star Caitlin Clark will be returning to the pro-am for the second year in a row. The Pro-Am will be held on November 12th.
Nelly Korda is the defending champion.
