Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.
The 24-year-old has struggled to earn regular minutes at Old Trafford and will need to leave the club in January to play more frequently. With the World Cup coming up next summer, he needs to play regularly for his club in order to cement his place in the national team. Zirksee has yet to score a goal this season and has not started a single league game.
Joshua Zirkzee wants to leave the club
TeamTalk reports that the striker is open to leaving Manchester United in January to get his career back on track. Several clubs are keen to sign him, with West Ham United also in the race. They will face competition from Aston Villa and Everton.
West Ham have struggled to find goals and signing the 24-year-old could be a wise move. He previously showed his quality at Bologna and could be of great use to the London club if he can get back to his best form. He was praised by coach Robert Lewandowski as an “excellent finisher.”
Villa and Everton eye Zirkzee
Similarly, Aston Villa could add more depth to their attacking line. The Dutch international could support Ollie Watkins in attack. He is more than just a goalscorer and his creativity and link-up play could add a new dimension to Aston Villa’s attack.
Finally, Everton need someone to replace Beto, who is not at his best. It will be interesting to see if they can sign the Manchester United striker in January. All three clubs could represent great opportunities for the player. It remains to be seen whether he is ready to continue playing in the Premier League. There are also rumors of a return to Italy. It will be interesting to see what decision he makes.
