Tottenham Hotspur are currently willing to pay £70m to sign AFC Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo and believe he is the perfect fit for Thomas Frank.

With Jamie O’Hara complaining about Xavi Simmons and Randall Kolo Muani after Chelsea’s defeat and some of their current attacking options not impressing so far this season, it’s no wonder Tottenham are looking to sign a new forward.

Matthijs Tell has also found it difficult to adapt to life in the Premier League, with the 20-year-old on the bench in recent weeks, scoring just one goal in his opening 10 games.

Spurs’ attacking slump was particularly evident in Saturday’s 1-0 loss to their London rivals, as they failed to convert any big chances and had just three shots in the entire game.

Tottenham, who have struggled in front of goal, are keen to sign one of their Premier League stars on a club-record deal this season, and reports from Spain suggest they are prepared to offer around 80 million euros (about 7 billion yen) for Semenho.

The Bournemouth forward is thought to be an ideal fit for Frank due to his speed, power and clinical ability, but there could be competition for the Ghanaian’s signature as several unknown European clubs have also expressed interest.

The Cherries rate the 25-year-old highly, but with an £80m transfer fee on the cards, they may be looking to cash in for the right price this winter.

The Bournemouth star has shown signs of improvement every year since emerging as a regular starter in the Premier League in 2023/24, and is already more than halfway through equaling his goals and assists record from the previous season.

Scout Ben Mattinson has also been impressed with the Ghanaian in the past and urged Arsenal to re-sign him in February.

Semenyo has earned a move to a top club and his performances this season have shown he is ready to step up, so if he can sign a deal it would be a real statement of intent from ENIC.
