  • Joao Gomez could leave Wolves in 2026
  • Premier League giants want to sign Gomez

The Premier League giants could raid Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign midfield mainstay Joao Gomez.

Wolves are still winless this season and are at the bottom of the Premier League. There is a lot of uncertainty over João Gomez’s future, with the club struggling to get going.

Joao Gomez could leave Wolves in 2026

According to TEAMtalk, some of the country’s biggest clubs have the Brazil international on their wishlists. Manchester United and Tottenham are eyeing him, while Aston Villa and Liverpool are also interested in signing the 24-year-old.

Although Wolves were not at their best, Gomez still managed to put in a solid performance. His work has not gone unnoticed and the club may struggle to keep him for long.

The Brazilian midfielder is an integral part of the team, but he may not be able to stay if the team is relegated. In fact, Wolves could even struggle to keep him beyond the winter if a big club sees an opportunity to take advantage of his predicament.

Signing a new midfielder is one of Manchester United’s priorities and Gomez is ideal for Ruben Amorim’s system as he can contribute at both ends of the pitch. Thomas Frank is not happy with his midfield options and the Wolves midfielder could be considered an upgrade to those options.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are looking for more quality and depth in the center of the park, with Unai Emery also keen to bring a proven Premier League star like Gomez into his squad.

A winter move seems unlikely as Wolves don’t want to lose one of their best players midway through the season, but it will certainly be difficult to keep him at the club beyond this season.

Four of the Premier League’s top clubs are keen to sign him, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this race.
