PGA Tour pro Andrew Putnam hits hole-in-one at WWT Championship

Andrew Putnam was in good form on Saturday in the third round of the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship in Cabo San Lucas, going 5 under for the day and playing 13 holes without a bogey.

Putnam hit a bogey on the par-5 14th and another on the 15th, dropping two strokes and plummeting off the leaderboard, but he bounced back in the best way possible. Putnam hit a beautiful shot on the par-3 16th at El Cardonal, but the shot fell about a foot short of the right of the flag, took one hop and fell into the cup for a hole-in-one. Check it out:

Bogey, bogey, ace. That’s how he drew it. Unfortunately for Putnam, the round ended on a bitter note. He dropped those two shots on the 14th and 15th, quickly regained it on the 16th, but conceded again with a double bogey on the par-5 18th, capping off a strange scorecard on the back nine.

Putnam is part of a group of players fighting hard to remain on the PGA Tour. He entered the week at No. 111 in the FedEx Cup fall rankings. The top 100 people keep their cards. A strong finish Sunday will certainly help Putnam’s cause. At the end of Saturday’s third round, he was tied for 26th place at 13 under par with a 3-under 69.
