West Ham United are hoping to sign Tottenham attacker Manor Solomon in the January transfer window.
The Israeli international is currently on loan to Spanish club Villarreal. However, I was able to leave it on the windowsill for the winter. The player is unhappy with the Spanish club due to lack of time and hopes to secure a move in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see if West Ham can get a deal done.
Crystal Palace were hoping to sign Solomon in the summer.
Manor Solomon wants to move.
According to a report by SportWitness, the player is said to be in contact with Tottenham about a return in January. He has no future at the north London club and they will likely consider letting him go soon.
West Ham have made inquiries and it will be interesting to see if they make a formal offer to seal the deal.
West Ham move could be ideal for Solomon
The Hammers need more quality and depth in their attacking line and Solomon could be a useful signing for them. He had a very impressive performance for Leeds United in the second tier of English football last season, and there is no doubt that he has the quality to play in the Premier League. He has demonstrated his ability in the top flight in the past with clubs such as Fulham.
The player will be desperate to get regular opportunities and get his career back on track. If West Ham can guarantee him regular game time, he could become an attractive option.
It will be interesting to see if they are willing to sign that player permanently. Tottenham may be reluctant to send him out on loan again. He is not a key part of their plans and they will likely consider selling him permanently.
