Leeds United are set to offload a first-team player in the January transfer window and are currently attracting interest from the Champions League giants.
Pressure on Falke ahead of Leeds vs Aston Villa
Daniel Farke is perhaps the Premier League manager under the most pressure as club football prepares for its return.
The Whites head into Sunday’s home clash with Elland Road, having overcome two disappointing away defeats to Brighton and Nottingham Forest.

Falke, who are currently just one point above the relegation zone, insisted his team was not panicking.
“In my dream version, we’re never in any danger. Yes, everything is a little tight right now, but nothing. We’re not panicking anyway.”
“We can’t influence that much what the outside world is thinking or trying to think. We’re very calm. We know what we have to improve on.”
Leeds have already been linked with a number of managers to replace Yorkshire manager Farke, including former RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig manager Marco Rose and former Tottenham and Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou, but both are currently unemployed.
However, the 49ers Enterprise is willing to let Falke go until January in order to turn things around, and the departure of one player could become a reality in the winter transfer window.
Inter Milan keen to sign Leeds goalkeeper Meslier
Inter Milan are interested in signing Ilan Meslier in 2026, according to an Italian report relayed by Sport Witness.
Leeds are prepared to sell the goalkeeper, who is out of contract at the end of the season, in the January transfer window, but Inter and rivals AC Milan are eyeing a free transfer in the summer.
Both Milan sides have a good relationship with Meslier’s agent, Pini Zahavi, who is keen to find a new home for the Frenchman, with the goalkeeper, who missed out on Leeds in 2025/26, being prioritized over new signing Lucas Perrie and Wales number one Karl Darlow.
Of course, if Meslier’s situation remains the same, he could sign a pre-contract agreement with either Inter or AC Milan in the new year.
The 49ers may struggle to recoup the £5m they spent on Meslier in 2020, which would have been hard to believe a few years ago when the former keeper was worth £50m at Elland Road.
Inter are currently tied at the top of the Champions League group with four wins out of four, but have conceded just once in that time.
Current goalkeeping candidates for 2026 include Yann Sommer (36), Raffaele Di Gennaro (32) and Josep Martinez (27), and it appears Meslier could join or replace one of this trio.
