He could sign for a nominal fee in January or on a free transfer at the end of the season. According to Mundo Deportivo (h/t SportWitness), Barcelona are interested in signing him. It will be interesting to see if they decide to move him in January or at the end of the season. A pre-contract agreement could be reached with the player in the coming weeks.

Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the opportunity to join them could be an exciting one for the England international. There is no doubt that he has what it takes to play in La Liga, and he has the potential to become a La Liga player. Barcelona needs defensive depth in their squad and the 25-year-old will help improve the team.

Signing a player of his caliber on a free transfer could be a coup for them. They are facing financial difficulties and cannot afford to miss out on an opportunity like this.
