Sam Agehowa has been linked with a move away from Porto in recent months.
The 21-year-old has had an excellent run since joining the club, scoring 36 goals in 59 games. The Spanish attacker is highly regarded across Europe and is considered one of the best young players in world football.
Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring his progress and he is a dream target for them. However, any move will have to wait until the summer. Porto made it clear in January that they would not put the player up for sale at any price.
A source told TEAMtalk: “Sam is a dream. January is a nightmare. We feel the summer of 2026 is a much more likely move.”
Tottenham will need to pay €80 million to sign the player at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see if they can win the race for his signature. Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in him.
Tottenham are in dire need of a quality striker. Dominic Solanke has not lived up to expectations since his big-money signing, and Richarlison is facing the possibility of leaving the club.
Randall Kolo Muani has joined the club on loan and is expected to return to his parent club at the end of the season. Signing a reliable striker will be a priority for the London club.
The 6ft 4in Spanish powerhouse could be the ideal signing for them. He has the physical and technical attributes to adapt to the Premier League and could make an immediate impact.
Chelsea and Manchester United have been investing in quality strikers recently and it would be quite surprising if they decided to pay a premium for Agekhova. They may not be able to guarantee him regular football and the Porto star will not want to join a club where he is not a first-choice striker.
