West Ham United are looking to strengthen their attacking line-up in the coming months and have identified Franklin Djou as a target.
The 19-year-old attacker has been doing very well for FC Midtjylland and West Ham wanted to sign him. However, the football agent has now informed the Claret & Hugh that the player has no interest in joining the London club.
Aston Villa and Newcastle are both interested in signing Dju. Crystal Palace are also monitoring his movements.
Franklin Djou is reluctant to move to West Ham
Top teams across Europe are interested in signing Dju and a move to West Ham would be a departure for him. Plus, it can cost a lot of money.
The agent claimed: “Franklino’s transfer fee will be 40 million euros in the summer and 60 million euros in January, but eight to 10 clubs are interested, but West Ham has no interest at all.Four clubs in the Champions League want him.”
West Ham could have used Dju.
It’s no secret that West Ham need a quality striker in January. It will be interesting to see if they can find a reliable goal scorer. They couldn’t find the back on a regular basis and it cost them money. Niklas Furkrug is expected to be on the move. He has not lived up to expectations and West Ham need to sign him.
They will need to bring in a quality replacement in the coming weeks, but it remains to be seen who they will ultimately sign. Signing a quality striker could help save their season and ensure their safety in the top flight. They are currently fighting to remain in the Premier League.
Dju, on the other hand, is highly regarded across Europe and African players will want to compete at the highest level. He will aim to join a club where he can fight for trophies and play alongside quality players.
