RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Former U.S. Amateur champion Josele Ballester shot a 6-under 65 on Saturday for a three-stroke victory and his first professional win at the Saudi International.

It was the final match of the Asian Tour’s International Series. Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent and Japan’s Haruki Asachi finished at the top of the rankings and secured two spots in next year’s LIV Golf.

Vincent was part of LIV Golf in 2024, but finished 50th in the standings and was relegated from the Saudi-funded league.

Ballester, who played college golf at Arizona State University, joined LIV Golf’s Fireballs team last summer. He recorded two top-10 finishes in six starts.

The Spaniard started the final round with a one-shot lead and finished with 22-under 262, three spots ahead of Caleb Surratt (69). Anthony Kim (70) tied for fifth place with an eight-stroke difference, achieving his best result since returning to golf after a 12-year hiatus at LIV last year.
