With just four weeks remaining in the 2025-26 NHL season, the Colorado Avalanche continue to lead the league impressively. Boasting a 7-1-5 record, they stand as the sole team with fewer than two regulation losses, their only 60-minute defeat being a narrow 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins on October 25.

In Week 4, the Avalanche remained undefeated in regulation, securing two wins against the Sharks in San Jose and having an overtime loss overturned. Six teams achieved perfect records last week, with the Montreal Canadiens winning twice in overtime. Conversely, the Utah Mammoths and Washington Capitals struggled, with Utah losing twice in regulation and Washington holding a 0-2-1 record. Utah State, however, surged ahead with a seven-game winning streak over the past two weeks.

The weekly power rankings, which consider both recent performances and overall season efforts, position the Avalanche back at number one after a brief drop. Nathan MacKinnon leads with consistent scoring, Cale Makar is on a seven-game point streak, and Martin Necas shines with his second three-game scoring streak this season.

Other top teams include the Winnipeg Jets, who bounced back with three consecutive wins led by Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor; the Montreal Canadiens known for their overtime successes; and the New Jersey Devils, despite a tough West Coast road trip. The Detroit Red Wings, Vegas Golden Knights, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, and Seattle Kraken round out the top ten, each demonstrating noteworthy performances and player contributions. The Utah Mammoths, despite recent losses, remain in the top ten due to their earlier strong run.
