Manchester United have an exciting line of stars for the future and are now interested in further strengthening that line by signing the talent who shone at the Under-17 World Cup.

The Red Devils would have enjoyed taking time during the international break to digest their reliable start to the Premier League season, even if Ruben Amorim came under pressure early on at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are in 10th place with a game in hand and could move up to fourth with three points against Everton on Monday night, but could be without Matheus Cunha due to an unexpected injury concern.

Ben Jacobs has drawn attention on social media after admitting on ‘X’ that the Brazilian suffered a blow to the head during training, resulting in him being forced to miss the switching on of Altrincham’s Christmas lights.

Despite this, the nature of his injury only appears to be minor, so there may still be a chance he could feature against the Toffees if the Red Devils’ medical staff deem it fit.

As always, Manchester United will want to avoid an increase in the absentee list over the holiday period. But it definitely affects everyone, especially when you have a packed game schedule.

The January deadline could be crucial for Old Trafford, with the Red Devils currently favorites to sign Ajax prodigy Jorgy Mokio amid concerns over Casemiro and Koby Mainu.

They are also paying attention to the talent who showed his best performance at the U-17 World Cup, which is attracting attention from clubs across Europe.

Manchester United approach to sign Mohamed Zongo

According to Africa Foot, Manchester United have approached Tenakourou academy star Mohamed Zongo to sign him and are now hoping to hold talks towards a permanent deal.

At just 15 years old, the Burkina Faso youth international scored two goals and provided three assists at the Under-17 World Cup, with some calling him a ‘revelation’.

He won the Man of the Match award several times during the competition, his highlight being the 1–0 win against Germany, where he was the only scorer in his country’s famous victory.

An attacking midfielder by trade who can play across the forward areas, Zongo has also attracted interest from Manchester City, Villarreal and Anderlecht, showing just how high his ceiling can rise if he gets on the right development path.

After all, he still has a lot of growth left before he can compete at a first-team level overseas. However, Manchester United may be the perfect environment for him to earn the honour.
