Sunday’s north London derby defeat to Arsenal put more pressure on Tottenham manager Thomas Frank, who took responsibility for the 4-1 defeat at the Emirates. Despite only taking over in the summer, supporters are already calling for the former Brentford head coach to be sacked.

Tottenham sit in ninth place in the Premier League, just four points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. For now, it looks like Frank will be given the next few weeks to turn around the club’s fortunes.

According to Football Insider, Mick Brown has revealed that Tottenham officials have no plans to sack Frank at this time.

“That loss against Arsenal definitely put pressure on Frank, but if you forget that game for a second, they’re not in a bad position in the league and they’ve done well without key players. It wasn’t a perfect start by any means, but despite the result there are some positives to note.

“So from Tottenham’s point of view, I don’t think they’re going to sack him at any stage anytime soon. Obviously, a big defeat against Arsenal is always going to have a huge impact on the manager, both from the club and the fans, because they’re not happy. And the question becomes whether they brush it off as a bad day at the office or whether it’s bigger than the real concern.”

“The next few weeks are going to be interesting games to watch because if they keep losing and the fans are not happy, that often leads to the manager facing the axe.”

Should Tottenham continue to trust Thomas Frank?

It hasn’t been easy for Tottenham in recent weeks, but there’s still time for things to turn around. But it must happen soon or Frank may be given his marching orders.
