Al Nasr Triumphs Over Al Khaleej 4-1
Leading the league standings with a perfect score, Al Nasr faced Al Khaleej, who sat sixth prior to the clash. Under the guidance of Jorge Jesus, Al Nasr remained undefeated, having won all eight of their previous matches, scoring 26 goals and conceding just four.
The match began vigorously, with Ronaldo nearly scoring in the fourth minute after a long-range attempt from Joao Félix went off target. Ronaldo had another chance set up by Sadio Mane, but Al Khaleej’s goalkeeper, Anthony Morris, made a remarkable save against Ronaldo’s shot from close range.
In the 33rd minute, Felix seemed to have scored first, but a VAR review ruled it out due to a handball by Marcelo Brozovic in the build-up. Shortly thereafter, Faris Najid regained the lead when Angelo’s cross found Felix, who skillfully finished. Moments later, Felix’s relentless pressing helped Al Nasr extend their lead, with Wesley scoring a superb shot.
As the second half started, Al Khaleej fought back, with Murad Al Hawsawi scoring with a stunning shot just after the break, reducing Al Nasr’s lead. However, Al Nasr responded well, with Sadio Mane scoring a curled lob that restored their two-goal advantage.
Dimitrios Kourbelis of Al Khaleej had a night to forget, receiving a straight red card for a dangerous challenge after missing an early chance. The match culminated with Ronaldo scoring a spectacular bicycle kick from a Nawaj Bouchar assist, concluding the game at 4-1.
Felix Shines in the Saudi Pro League
Félix once again stood out for Al Nasr, where he has found success after previous challenges at Chelsea, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid, matching Ronaldo’s goal tally in the Saudi Professional League. His contribution raised his season total to 10 goals and included an assist for Al Nasr’s second goal of the match.
