Leeds have fallen down the Premier League table in recent weeks and fell into the relegation zone after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa at the weekend. This has also increased pressure on Daniel Farke, whose position as manager is under threat.

There has been a lot of talk about Farke’s future and it is becoming increasingly clear that his future lies away from Leeds, with a replacement reportedly being lined up to replace him at Elland Road.

According to Football Insider, Mick Brown has revealed that Leeds officials are considering a replacement for Falke, and his days at Elland Road appear to be numbered.

“There’s definitely some consideration being given to the manager’s future. They were even considering sacking him before a ball was kicked this season, so it’s clear there’s an opinion behind the scenes that he might not be the right person for the job. It’s going to take something outstanding from him in this position to change that mind.”

“If they keep losing while the teams around them are picking up points, they find themselves in serious trouble. Fulham and Nottingham Forest won at the weekend, and West Ham also picked up points.”

“The pressure is on Leeds. They have to start delivering results and if they don’t then the blame will be on the manager.”

Who should be Leeds’ next manager?

There have been a number of candidates linked to the Leeds job in recent weeks. Brendan Rodgers appears to be in a good place after leaving Celtic, but there are also reports of interest in Ange Postecoglou and Steven Gerrard. For now, Falke remains at the helm, but that may not be the case for much longer.
