The November 2025 WorldSBK test at Jerez took place on Wednesday, November 26th, starting at 13:00 local time. Andrea Locatelli led the first day with the fastest lap, clocking in at 1:38.641, narrowly beating Remy Gardner, who posted a best time of 1:39.026 after competing in the afternoon session. Michael van der Mark secured third place, followed by Xavi Vierge and Xavi Fores rounding out the top five.

Danilo Petrucci, Stefano Manzi, and Miguel Oliveira were the only other riders to break the 1 minute 40 seconds mark, with both Petrucci and Oliveira making their debut on BMW machinery. Jake Dixon debuted on the Honda and was sixth in the morning but dropped to ninth by the afternoon’s end. Somkiat Chantra also made his first appearance in the World Superbike tests, placing tenth just behind his teammate.

Several WorldSSP riders participated as well, with Corantin Perolari being the fastest among them, finishing 16th. British Supersport rider Luke Stapleford was also spotted on a Ducati after parting ways with the MacAdams-Triumph team. Taiyo Furusato, a 2026 Moto2 rookie, was the only Grand Prix rider to join the morning session, finishing in 13th place.

The official timing and rankings from the sessions highlight the competitive field, with lap records at the Jerez Circuit showing improvements made during the 2025 season, including Nicolo Brega’s record-setting pole and race laps.

Fan Take: This test is a crucial glimpse into the form and potential of riders and teams heading into the 2026 Superbike season. For fans, seeing new talent and team dynamics shake up the leaderboard adds excitement and builds anticipation for what promises to be a fiercely contested championship.
