Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior.

The 25-year-old is expected to move on at the end of the season. His contract expires in 2027, but he has not yet signed an extension with Real Madrid. According to Football Insider, Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing him. He will cost £80m, but it remains to be seen whether both clubs are willing to pay.

Liverpool need more quality in their side. Kodi Gakpo is not good enough and has not been able to replace Luis Diaz. They need players who can take on defenders and create chances in the final third. The Brazilian could be the perfect fit for them. He has proven himself in Spain and in the UEFA Champions League. He has the ability to succeed in the Premier League as well. Vinicius has been hailed as “unstoppable” in the past.

Similarly, Manchester United have been successful in improving their attacking line-up, but need more cutting-edge talent in the final third. They aim to compete for major trophies and need players with what it takes to perform at the highest level. The Brazilian has shown his talent at Real Madrid and his winning experience could be invaluable to both clubs.

£80m is a lot of money for a player who will enter the final year of his contract in the summer. But there is no doubt that he has the ability to justify the investment. It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool and Manchester United decide to pay a premium to get the deal done. He could be a game-changing acquisition for both clubs.
