Chevrolet Reveals Cutting-Edge NASCAR Cup Body Design for the 2026 Season

Chevrolet has revealed a fresh design for its NASCAR Cup car set to debut in the 2026 season. Since 2018, they’ve raced with the Camaro ZL1, which succeeded the Chevrolet SS, and the new model reflects updates inspired by the recent Camaro ZL1 Carbon Performance Package. Notable modifications include a bigger hood power dome, an updated front grille, and more noticeable rocker panels along the sides.

Throughout its NASCAR history, Chevrolet has raced under 14 different brands, such as the Camaro, Impala, Monte Carlo, Lumina, Malibu, and Chevelle. Currently, Ford competes with the Mustang Dark Horse and Toyota with the Camry XSE in the Cup Series.

In 2025, Chevrolet secured its 44th Manufacturers’ Championship and fifth straight title in the Cup Series. Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson and his No. 5 team won both drivers’ and owners’ championships, collecting 15 wins in 36 races. Highlights included Shane van Gisbergen’s five victories, William Byron’s Daytona 500 win, and Ross Chastain’s remarkable last-to-first triumph at the Coca-Cola 600.

Charter teams running Chevrolet cars in the Cup Series now include Hendrick Motorsports, Trackhouse Racing, Richard Childress Racing, Spire Motorsports, Kaulig Racing, and Hyak Motorsports. Additionally, the Haas Factory Team will transition to Chevrolet starting next season.

Fan Take: This update from Chevrolet signals strong commitment to innovation and performance in NASCAR, which keeps the competition fierce and exciting. Fans can look forward to seeing how the new Camaro ZL1 design impacts racing dynamics and whether it helps Chevrolet maintain its winning streak.
