West Ham United are reportedly interested in a potential move for Milan striker Santiago Jimenez and could try to sign Jean-Clair Todibo as part of a deal.
Jimenez’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is said to have received several approaches from clubs in England, with West Ham in particular likely to be a team of interest.
According to Sport Witness, citing reports from Tuttosport and Milan Live, West Ham want a deal to bring Jimenez to the London Stadium and are willing to sacrifice Todibo to sign him.
Will Santiago Jimenez leave AC Milan for the Premier League?
The paper also explains that Sunderland are interested in Jimenez, and after his struggles at Milan, he certainly looks like he could be a realistic target for several Premier League clubs.
The Mexico international looked like a very exciting talent at his former club Feyenoord, scoring 65 goals in 105 Eredivisie games.
However, Jimenez has scored just seven goals in 30 games since joining San Siro, which could mean he is dropped from the job by the Italian giants.
Is a move for Santiago Jimenez worth a gamble for West Ham?
West Ham fans will be keen to see the club strengthen by bringing in a top player up front in the near future, as they have experienced a number of failures in that position in recent years.
WHUFC supporters would have had high hopes for the likes of Niklas Furkrug and Gianluca Scamacca, but they failed.
In truth, Jimenez’s poor form at Milan probably makes him look like a dangerous option, but maybe he can bounce back and return to the form he showed at Feyenoord.
Todibo, on the other hand, has had a bit of a disappointing run at West Ham, so it could be smart business to offload him and get him more favorable terms.
