Liverpool are ready to spend big to sign AC Milan forward Rafael Leao to fill the void left by Luis Diaz.

Rafael Leao is back to his best and his recent performances for AC Milan have attracted a lot of interest from across Europe.

According to a report from Fichajes, Liverpool are keen to sign him and are preparing an offer of 120 million euros for the Portugal international.

Liverpool have had a disastrous start to the season despite spending big in the summer to strengthen their attacking line-up.

Now they are trying to make the necessary changes to get things back on track. The Reds are looking for more quality in their side and believe AC Milan’s Rafael Leao would be a perfect fit for Arne Slott’s system.

They are unable to replace Luis Diaz, who left for Bayern Munich, and feel Leo can help fill the void. He has all the qualities the Reds are looking for at the moment. Leo had been in a relationship with them a few months ago.

Leo has been linked with a move to Arsenal or Chelsea.

They are prepared to shell out a whopping 120 million euros to sign him. However, he has a release clause of more than 170 million euros, which may not be enough to get him over the line.

His contract with AC Milan runs until 2028, but his financial situation and player wage demands have suggested a move could be made, although that would require a significant financial effort from the Merseyside club.
