West Ham United could pursue a move for Andy Irving during the January transfer window, according to Clarett and Hugh.

The 25-year-old Scottish midfielder was linked with a move away from the club in the summer. Celtic were keen to secure his signature at the time. However, West Ham decided to keep him at the club. Apparently he has no future under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Where will Andy Irving end up?

It will be interesting to see if the Hammers can find a suitable move for the player in January. There is no point in retaining players who are not part of future plans. They should consider cashing him out and using the proceeds to invest in the team.

West Ham are currently fighting to remain in the Premier League. They have shown improvement in recent weeks and are unbeaten in their last three league games. However, they are 17th in the standings and need to improve to maintain their top spot.

Signing the right players could be crucial to their hopes of survival. Releasing the 25-year-old will provide the club with funds to strengthen their squad.

Irving, on the other hand, needs to play regularly at this stage of his career. Sitting on the bench at the London club is unlikely to benefit him. He will also aim to get his career back on track. It remains to be seen where he will end up. He has the qualities to compete at a high level and a move to Scotland would probably be ideal for him.

It remains to be seen whether Celtic are prepared to renew their interest in the player. They could use more depth in the middle of the park and the 25-year-old would be helpful for them.
