Liverpool manager Arne Slott is under enormous pressure following a disappointing start to the Premier League season.

Liverpool were expected to defend their Premier League title, but have failed to perform at a high level. They have lost nine of their past 12 games and are hoping to recover.

So far, they have shown no signs of progress under the Dutch coach. He was heavily backed during the summer and Liverpool signed a quality player. However, Slott has also not been able to bring out the best in his players. It looks like change may be coming.

Will Luis Enrique replace Slott?

Viharges reports that the Dutch national team manager could be appointed in the coming weeks, with Liverpool considering contemporary manager Luis Enrique as a potential replacement.

He did an exceptional job at PSG, helping them win the league title and the UEFA Champions League last season. The French team has played fascinating football so far and there is no doubt that Enrique is one of the best managers in the world.

He could be an unusual signing if Liverpool are able to strike a deal. However, PSG insist there is no doubt about his future and that they want him to continue playing. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can convince Enrique to take on a new challenge.

He has a proven pedigree at the highest level and there is no doubt that he is talented enough to manage the biggest club in the world.

Meanwhile, Slott is hoping to turn things around and keep his job. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming weeks.
