Liverpool are hoping to improve their results under Arne Slott and could target a free agent manager familiar to supporters if they do not improve in the coming weeks.

Arne Slott aims to revive Liverpool’s Premier League season

Confidence in the bank will go a long way and the Anfield bosses will remember Slott’s work in leading the Reds to their second title of the Premier League era last season. However, it has recently failed to claim the desired results, causing anxiety among its supporters.

Either way, the Dutchman has vowed to fight for his future at Liverpool and appears uncompromising in his vision of helping the club get back on track, insisting the team will find an answer to their problems before long.

He said this before the match against West Ham United. “We’ve had the same conversations since I’ve been here. We’re going to keep fighting. We’re going to try to improve. We’re going to try to find the answers to what it takes to win football games, but ultimately it’s about executing what this club aims to be.”

“We’ve got to keep fighting and we’ve got to keep fighting together. But it would be nice if we could reward ourselves in the moments when we play well. People rightly focus on the areas where we’re not playing well.”

However, Liverpool appear to be profiling potential players to replace Slott, with Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique on the FSG’s radar should they ultimately decide to make a change.

Nevertheless, the Reds could be looking to go in a completely different direction, and recent developments could surprise supporters if they materialize.

Liverpool eye Brendan Rodgers and Andoni Iraola

Reports in Spain suggest Liverpool could replace Slott with former manager Brendan Rodgers or Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, as the Dutchman’s future on Merseyside becomes increasingly uncertain.

Rodgers’ return will be notable given that he was manager of the English giants from 2012 to 2014, and then came incredibly close to winning his first Premier League title before quitting the season. Described as “world class” by Gabriel Agbonlahor, he went on to win multiple league titles with Celtic.

Meanwhile, Iraola’s tenure at Bournemouth has garnered plenty of praise across the country, with both managers saying they would be happy to listen to an approach from Liverpool to take over the potential vacancy.

Arne Slott is under intense pressure as Liverpool suffer a ninth defeat in 12 games.

FSG will not rush into a decision, suggesting Slott will be given time to revive the Reds’ fortunes ahead of the festive period.

In any case, the pressure is on for the Dutchman and it could be a telling sign that they already have a replacement on the line if their patchy form continues.
