  • Enzo Maresca wants Harry Kane to Chelsea
  • Could the Blues sign the former Tottenham attacker?

For Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca, Harry Kane stands out above all other players as a “dream signing” for 2026.

According to X’s reliable sources, Maresca believes Kane could be the transformational figure Chelsea need to re-establish themselves as part of England’s elite both domestically and in Europe.

Kane remains one of Europe’s most prolific centre-forwards. Since joining Bayern Munich from Spurs in 2023, he has continued to impress in the Bundesliga and Champions League, cementing his place as one of the continent’s elite strikers.

Enzo Maresca wants Harry Kane to Chelsea

Maresca believes Kane has a combination of leadership, killer instincts and experience that Chelsea’s developing side could greatly benefit from.

The Blues have a number of young forwards and wide players, but lack a proven and intelligent No.9 who can draw attention to themselves and give space to other players.

A player like Kane will not only score goals, but also guide a young team through the pressures of a full season in the Premier League and Champions League.

Acquiring a player of Kane’s stature would signal to the rest of Europe that Chelsea are back and ready to compete, invest and build for immediate success.

Although it is attractive, the hurdles are quite high. Kane’s current contract with Bayern runs until 2027, with reports suggesting he has a release clause of around €65 million, but it appears the German club are keen to keep him, especially given his recent form.

There is also the issue of his wages and the size of the contract he would require, which would be a significant financial burden for Chelsea’s board.

The club recently signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, but their arrivals have not quelled speculation about Kane, showing how strongly the manager views the need for an established talisman.

Some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester United, are keeping a close eye on Kane’s situation in Munich.

Chelsea would need to meet both their financial and sporting ambitions to sign Kane, and would consider it a gamble worth taking.
