Harry Durham has had a change of plans regarding One Horse Town and is preparing to race at Cheltenham again later this month. The horse, sired by Threat and a winner of the Gimcrack, has proven to be an outstanding hurdler, winning all four of his previous races.
Although he faced a tough challenge at Cheltenham during the Triumph Trial, he managed to come through successfully, and a similar challenge awaits him on December 13th. Durham shared, “One Horse Town will be heading to Cheltenham soon. We expected the Cheltenham race in November to be tough, but he recovered well from it. When training, it’s often a struggle to get a horse in top condition, but he’s currently in great shape, so we’re moving forward.”
He also noted the increasing difficulty of juvenile races as the season progresses toward the big spring events. “He’s doing fantastic and looks very happy. Right now, he’s just a horse enjoying his time, so we’re focused on getting the job done. I’ve been saying all summer he’s a fun horse, and while I hoped the last race would reveal his true abilities, I still don’t know exactly how good he is. Hopefully, I won’t find out after the next race either!”
Fan Take: This update is exciting for horse racing enthusiasts because One Horse Town’s return to Cheltenham signals the arrival of a promising young talent ready to take on bigger challenges. His continued success could add thrilling competition to the juvenile racing scene and energize the sport with fresh storylines.
