Sonic Pioneer Unveils Festive Christmas Collection

The Sonic Pioneer might return to the impressive juvenile hurdle scene this Christmas, as trainer Martin Keighley considers a race for Harry Redknapp’s promising young horse. Previously successful twice on the flat with Jack Morland, the talented Sonic Pioneer impressed with a 14-length jump at Kempton last month but could make his next appearance either at Kempton on December 27 or at Newbury two days later, following a brief break due to illness after his initial jumping race.

Keighley said, “I have an introductory junior hurdle race at Kempton on December 27th, and ideally, he will run just once over hurdles. At Newbury on December 29th, there’s another introductory hurdle race, where older horses can participate with a £15 allowance for three-year-olds. I plan to enter him in both and decide which suits him best, but he’ll definitely be ready by Christmas.”

“He showed strong form in his debut. I felt that the juvenile race at Cheltenham on Saturday came a bit too soon, so the Christmas races seem perfect.”

Sonic Pioneer’s participation at Kempton will make the London racing days particularly exciting for Redknapp, who also has high hopes for another horse, Jukebox Man, aiming at the King George VI Chase. Keighley added, “I’ll give Jukebox Man more experience, but probably won’t run him in a victory hurdle again. It’s great to have such a nice horse, and we’re all really excited about his future.”

Sonic Pioneer currently holds a 25-1 odds for the Triumph Hurdle with Paddy Power, in a market dominated by Nicky Henderson’s Manraga and Gordon Elliott’s Manzi Taut, both yet to run.

Fan Take: This update on Sonic Pioneer is thrilling for horse racing fans, as it highlights the emergence of a talented young contender in the juvenile hurdling ranks. With Harry Redknapp’s involvement and top trainers backing the horse, Sonic Pioneer’s progress could bring fresh excitement and competition to the sport’s future star events.
