Liverpool are hoping to sign Yann Diomande from RB Leipzig in the future.
The 19-year-old’s performances have caught the attention of the Premier League champions, with Michael Edwards also attending the game earlier this week. According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool scout Barry Hunter observed the player alongside Edwards.
Liverpool have begun contract negotiations with the player, with Diomande’s transfer fee expected to be around £88 million. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool are prepared to pay for him. They need quality wide players who can play against defenders and beat them in one-on-one situations. Liverpool need more unpredictability in the final third.
The 19-year-old has great talent and is expected to develop into a world-class player with the right guidance. He would be a long-term investment for the club and Liverpool could develop him into a future star.
The asking price is quite high and Liverpool would probably want to sign him for a more reasonable fee. It will be interesting to see if they can convince the German team.
There is no doubt that the young attacker would be attracted to the idea of joining Liverpool. It will be a big opportunity and he will aim to improve his quality in the Premier League.
The paper claims that a move in January is unlikely and that Liverpool could lay the groundwork to sign him at the end of the season. The report further confirms that Liverpool are in “daily contact” with Diomande’s agent. It will be interesting to see if they can now agree a contract with his club.
The player will be excited about the new challenge and could be the ideal long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.
