“It’s really close. There’s always a lot of Leeds fans.”
Reacting to his comments, former Premier League stars Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer questioned why he did not eventually join Newcastle.

The signing of Haaland is an unusual move for Newcastle and will leave the Magpies wondering what would have happened if they had been able to sign a player like him. He has been an unstoppable force at Manchester City since joining the club and he could have transformed Newcastle in attack.
The Magpies currently have an ambitious project and a quality team. They want to build a team that can win trophies every season. They recently managed to sign German attacker Nick Woltemade. However, the sides require more creativity. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to bring in the players they need and improve their squad during the January transfer window.
They will be hoping to finish as high as possible and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
