  • Tottenham midfielder wanted by Turkish giants

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to part ways with Yves Bissouma during the January transfer window, according to The Times.

The 29-year-old midfielder was once seen as a key figure in Spurs’ midfield set-up, but has endured a frustrating spell on the sidelines and now faces an uncertain future in north London.

Bissouma is yet to feature under Tottenham manager Thomas Frank, who took over at the start of the season.

The Mali international underwent ankle surgery in October and was out of action for several months.

Although he is now nearing full fitness, reports suggest that Frank has other priorities in midfield, leaving Bissouma’s role in the team uncertain.

Since joining Tottenham from Brighton & Hove Albion, Bissouma has shown flashes of talent but has struggled to find consistency.

Despite getting off to a strong start last season under manager Ange Postecoglou, his development was hampered by disciplinary problems and injuries, limiting his influence at the club.

OGC Nice and Olympique Marseille are among the clubs that have shown concrete interest in the midfielder.

Both teams are looking for experienced reinforcements for the second half of the season and are exploring short-term and loan-to-buy options.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce were previously contacted about a possible contract last summer and are once again monitoring the situation closely.

The Turkish giants are keen to strengthen their midfield options as they look to win the Super Lig title, and see Bissouma as a player with the physicality and ball-winning ability to thrive in Turkey.

Spurs are reportedly willing to offer Bissouma a short-term extension if a move does not happen in January, in order to protect his market value and prevent him from being lost on a free transfer in the summer.

The club values his experience and professionalism, but recognizes that he may seek more consistent playing time elsewhere.

The next few weeks will be decisive for Bisouuma’s future as the January period approaches.
