  • Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Semenyo
  • Mo Salah faces an uncertain future at Anfield

According to the Mirror, Liverpool are preparing to make a definitive move for Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo once his £65m release clause kicks in in January.

The possibility of a transfer comes amid growing uncertainty over Mohamed Salah’s future as tensions continue to rise behind the scenes at Anfield.

With Salah’s situation becoming increasingly uncertain and Saudi clubs expected to renew their interest in the Egyptian forward over the winter period, Liverpool are accelerating contingency plans to secure an attacking replacement.

One of the breakout stars of this season’s Premier League, Semenyo is recognized as a perfect fit for Arne Slott’s tactical system.

The Ghanaian’s explosive speed, tireless work rate and versatility across the front line have caught the attention of Liverpool, with scouts reportedly providing glowing reports about his consistency and influence at Bournemouth.

Semenyo has six goals and three assists in league play this season, ranking him among the top scorers outside the traditional “big six” in terms of goal involvement.

His ability to press effectively and make quick transitions is a perfect match for Liverpool’s intense style of play.

Liverpool appear ready to trigger this clause, while Tottenham Hotspur are also on board.

According to BBC Sport, Spurs are willing to offer Semenyo a favorable financial package under a new ownership structure led by Joe Louis’ children who have ambitious plans to make the club more competitive.

The interest from Tottenham adds an interesting twist to the story, with Manchester United and Manchester City also monitoring the player.

However, Liverpool need a replacement for the forward and an established scouting base will give them an early advantage in the chase.

Liverpool officials are aware behind the scenes that Salah’s future remains uncertain following public criticism of manager Arne Slott and reports of renewed interest from Saudi Pro League clubs such as Al Hilal and NEOM FC.

Any deal will depend on whether Liverpool are willing to fulfill his £65m release clause in full, as Bournemouth want to retain their valuable asset.

Given the mounting pressure on Salah’s future and a possible January bid from Saudi Arabia, Liverpool may have no choice but to act quickly.
