  • Fabrizio Romano reveals Liverpool’s position on Mo Salah
  • Salah’s incredible numbers for Liverpool

Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on Mohamed Salah’s situation at Liverpool.

The past few weeks have been a turbulent one for Salah, who was on the bench for four games in a row and missed the match against Inter Milan.

After playing zero minutes against Leeds, Salah publicly claimed that someone at the club wanted him sent off. He even hinted that the game against Brighton could be his farewell match.

Eventually, peace negotiations were held and the issue between slots and players appeared to be resolved.

He started on the bench against the Seagulls, but manager Slott brought him on due to Joe Gomez’s injury early in the first half.He came on as a substitute and assisted Hugo Ekitike’s second goal, cementing his name in Premier League history as the highest scorer for a single club.

After the match, Salah took a lap around Anfield as fans serenaded him with song, an act that some interpreted as a possible farewell.

Three Saudi clubs are interested in signing him, and the CEO of the Saudi Pro League has publicly acknowledged his desire to have the Egyptian player in the league.

Fabrizio Romano reveals Liverpool’s position on Mo Salah

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the situation, confirming that Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas will hold final negotiations with the club in England while the player is away on AFCON duty.

According to his information, Liverpool’s stance is that they are in no hurry to sell Salah as long as they are happy with the player remaining in his current form.

However, if the player wishes to leave, Salah and his agent could make an offer and talks could take place.

Romano said on his YouTube channel:

“Many of you are asking me about the future of Mo Salah. Well, Mo is traveling for the AFCON, so Mo will not be able to play for Liverpool for the next few weeks.”

“What will happen between England and Liverpool is that Mosala’s agent, Ramy Abbas, will travel to England to speak to the Liverpool management and discuss Mosala’s situation.”

“So after Mo left the team against Inter, after Mo came back against Brighton, Mo came on in the first half and scored an assist, breaking a new record and showing his quality again.

“The time has come for Mo Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas to sit down with the club and make a decision together about what happens next.

“Again, I keep my information on what Liverpool believe. Liverpool have said: ‘We’re in no rush to sell Salah, we don’t need to find a solution for Salah. If he wants to keep these terms, we’re more than happy.’

“If he wanted to go and he hinted at it maybe in that interview, which wasn’t that clear, then let Liverpool say this: ‘Bring a proposal to the table, show us your proposal, and this might be on the table, tell us what you have’.”

“However, there are currently no formal offers for Salah on Liverpool’s table other than interest from the Saudis, so there will be talks with his agent in the coming weeks to understand how to move forward.”

Salah’s incredible numbers for Liverpool

Despite the ongoing transfer turmoil, Salah continues to show world-class quality and commitment on the pitch.

He made an immediate impact after coming off the bench against Brighton, setting a new record by scoring a vital assist.

The Egyptian superstar recently cemented his legendary status over Wayne Rooney, securing the record for most goal involvement by a single club in Premier League history.

Salah’s overall statistics since arriving at Anfield have been staggering. He has contributed 367 goals (250 goals, 117 assists) in just 421 games across all competitions.

This incredible achievement is why many have expressed surprise at the recent snub from the starting XI, which has strained the relationship between player and club.

The outcome of the January transfer window will depend entirely on the impending negotiations between Ramy Abbas and the club’s leadership.
