NBA fans, get ready to cast your votes! The 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend is scheduled for February 13-15, with the voting period opening on December 17 at 12:00 PM ET and closing on January 14 at 11:59 PM ET. To participate, fans need an NBA ID and can submit one complete ballot daily via the NBA app or NBA.com. Special “3-for-1 Days” will multiply votes by three on five key dates: December 21, December 25, December 30, January 7, and the final day of voting on January 14.

The 2026 All-Star Game introduces a fresh USA vs. World format featuring three teams: two made up of U.S. players and one international team. Each squad will have at least eight players, playing a round-robin of four 12-minute games. Following those games, the two best-performing teams will face off in the championship game, with point differentials breaking ties if necessary.

Selection involves 24 players—12 from each conference—with starters chosen via combined fan (50%), player (25%), and media (25%) votes. Coaches select seven reserves per conference, with no position restrictions this year. If voting doesn’t produce a minimum of 16 U.S. players and eight international players, Commissioner Adam Silver will add players to meet those quotas. Coaches from the top Eastern and Western Conference teams will head the tournament teams, with assistant coaches leading the other squads.

The prize pool totals $1.8 million, with the winning team players earning $125,000 each, runners-up getting $50,000, and semifinalists $25,000. The All-Star Game will take place on February 15, 2026, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, home to the Clippers.

Fan Take: This new USA vs. World format and three-team setup add a thrilling twist to the traditional All-Star Game, promising more competitive and dynamic matchups. It’s a great step forward to showcase global basketball talent and keep fans deeply engaged in the evolving NBA landscape.
