Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is also reportedly a target of Atletico Madrid in case he fails to stay at Barcelona.

The England international fell out of favor at Old Trafford and has been loaned to Barça this season.

However, even if Rashford gets off to a good start at Camp Nou, it is still not entirely clear whether Barcelona will choose to make his move permanent.

According to Ficajes, this has put Atletico Madrid on guard, with Diego Simeone’s side emerging as new suitors next summer.

Will Marcus Rashford stay in La Liga?

Rashford suffered a significant drop in form in his final years at Man United and clearly needed to move on from the club.

But the 28-year-old is still a top-class player and after spending his entire career at one club, it now appears he needed a change of scenery and a new challenge.

Rashford currently appears to be back to his best following his move to Spanish football, so even if Barcelona decide not to keep him, perhaps staying in La Liga could be his ideal next move.

Atlético are probably well aware of Rashford’s performance against their rivals, indicating that he could be a good fit for the team if he becomes available.

Rashford isn’t the only player enjoying a new life away from Old Trafford, with Anthony also enjoying a successful spell in La Liga with Real Betis.

Elsewhere, Alejandro Garnacho has also improved since joining Chelsea, while Scott McTominay has enjoyed great success with Napoli.

Even Rasmus Hjølund is showing signs of being back to his best at Napoli, and it looks like Rashford’s departure was the right thing to do.

While some United fans will probably be happy to have Rashford back, it’s probably best for both sides to go their separate ways next summer.
