The Buffalo Sabres have announced a roster update, recalling forward Isaac Rosen from their AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans. Rosen was recently reassigned to the AHL earlier this week, but now he gets another opportunity to compete at the NHL level.

This recall follows Rosen’s impressive performance in Rochester’s latest game on December 19 against the Belleville Senators, where he scored two goals. So far this season in the AHL, Rosen has tallied 12 goals, 10 assists, and 22 points across 15 games.

In the NHL, Rosen has appeared in 12 games for the Sabres this season, achieving personal bests with three goals, four assists, and seven points. With this call-up, he aims to make a significant contribution to Buffalo’s lineup.

Originally picked 14th overall by the Sabres in the first round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Rosen has played 27 NHL games in total, recording three goals, five assists, and eight points.

Fan Take: Rosen’s recall is exciting news for Sabres fans eager to see young talent develop and influence the team’s future success. His dynamic playmaking ability could energize the lineup and signal a promising direction for the franchise and the league.
