Brittney Griner’s 2025 season was notably eventful. After spending the first 11 years of her professional career with the Phoenix Mercury, she entered free agency and signed with the Atlanta Dream. At 35 years old, Griner appeared in 39 games for Atlanta, starting 25 of them, and averaged 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks. Her contributions helped the Dream achieve a 30-14 record, the best in the Eastern Conference and the third-best overall in the WNBA.

Currently, Griner is continuing her basketball journey by preparing for her second season in the 3-on-3 league Unrivaled. She will join a new team this season after previously playing for Phantoms BC in the league’s inaugural season. Last season, she averaged 16.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. This year, former Chicago Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon selected her to play for Vinyl BC.

Banham, who was traded to the Sky last offseason, will also debut in Unrivaled this season with Lunar Owls BC. The second season of Unrivaled is set to start on January 5th, promising fans an exciting display of basketball talent.
