Newcastle United striker William Osla has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
The 22-year-old has struggled to get regular minutes at the Premier League club and would need to leave in order to play more often. Sitting on the bench at Newcastle will not do him any favors. At 22 years old, he is a talented player and we are looking forward to his future.
However, he has only appeared in 14 games for Newcastle this season, most of them coming on as a substitute. He has scored for the team three times and there is no doubt that he could be a very useful player in the right team. He came very close to joining Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer transfer window, but Newcastle pulled out of the deal at the last minute. It will be interesting to see if they are ready to let him leave during the January period.
It might not be a wise decision to keep him at the club against his wishes. Players will be desperate to get their careers back on track with regular game time.
The Chronicle reports that a decision on his future is imminent. The player disagrees with his manager over playing time and it is clear that the relationship is on the verge of breakdown.
Newcastle should consider offering him an exit route next month. If a permanent solution to the problem cannot be found, they should consider letting him go on loan. If he can impress in the second half of the campaign, they could be able to sell him for a reasonable fee in the summer.
