Catch the Nuggets vs. Timberwolves Showdown: TV Listings, Live Stream Info, Betting Odds, and Game Times

The NBA’s Christmas Day 2025 schedule wraps up with a familiar matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets, both teams linked by their founding general manager, Tim Connelly. The two teams faced off in the 2024 playoffs, with Minnesota pulling off an upset to end Denver’s title defense in the second round. These teams often deliver thrilling games, as seen last year when the Timberwolves fell in a double-overtime thriller due to a foul on Russell Westbrook.

Currently, neither team is at full strength. Denver is coping with injuries to key players Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun, while Minnesota is still adapting to playing without Nickell Alexander-Walker. Despite these challenges, both remain top contenders in the Western Conference, making their Christmas Day game a highlight of the regular season.

The Timberwolves and Nuggets game is scheduled for 10:30 PM ET on December 25th at Ball Arena in Denver. It will be broadcast on ABC/ESPN and available via live stream on Fubo with a free trial. Betting odds favor the Nuggets by 3.5 points with a total points over/under set at 238.5 according to BetMGM.

Although Denver has improved its roster depth, injuries have limited their ability to perform at peak levels, especially with starter Cam Johnson’s knee injury status still uncertain. Minnesota has had a strong record against Denver recently, winning 10 of their last 12 matchups, including significant victories over the Knicks and Thunder. Thus, taking Minnesota with the points (+3.5) is a safer bet.

As for individual performance, despite the absence of some teammates, Timberwolves are known to contain Nikola Jokic’s scoring. Jokic, a three-time MVP, has averaged fewer shot attempts against Minnesota in the last two seasons, so expecting him to score under 29.5 points seems reasonable.

Fan Take: This game represents more than just another regular-season matchup; it’s a clash between two of the Western Conference’s top contenders under unique circumstances due to injuries and roster changes. For basketball fans, it promises high stakes and intense competition, highlighting the evolving strategies and resilience in the league that keep the sport thrilling season after season.
