Conor McGregor couldn’t help but take a jab at Jake Paul on Christmas Day. While many would expect the UFC star to spend his holiday with his wife and four children, McGregor instead chose to mock Paul’s broken jaw from his recent bout with Anthony Joshua.

Initially, McGregor sent a congratulatory message to the YouTuber-turned-boxer, acknowledging Paul’s first knockout loss at 12-2 and surgery with a “Fair play! Well done.” However, he later took a more sarcastic tone, mocking Paul’s injury and his new liquid diet due to the broken jaw in a tweet that he eventually deleted.

On Christmas, Jake Paul provided a health update, tweeting: “God is great. My jaw was broken, but my brain and spine are fine. I have never been more motivated. Merry Christmas to everyone around the world. Never stop trying to be great. Failure is 100% guaranteed if you don’t try.” McGregor agreed with the motivational message but couldn’t resist adding a jab about Paul having to drink smoothies after breaking both jaws.

As for McGregor himself, he hasn’t fought since breaking his foot at UFC 264 in July 2021 but is gearing up for a comeback next year. He’s aiming to fight on the June 14 UFC White House event, with Michael Chandler currently the top contender to face him, though no official opponent has been confirmed yet. UFC CEO Dana White is expected to firm up the details of the event starting in February.
