The featured horse, Silver Prince (Hip 1), is a 2-year-old colt by Cairo Prince who impressed by finishing second in his debut race at Oaklawn Park on December 14th, earning an 80 Beyer Speed Figure. In that race, Silver Prince was bested only by the newly named “TDN Rising Star” Dee Cord, who posted a 99 Beyer, finishing well ahead of notable competitors, including the $825,000 Tiz The Row and $625,000 McLean’s Music colts. Ron Mockett is the commissioning agent for this promising colt.
Silver Prince hails from an elite lineage at Airdrie Stud, being out of Silver Reunion, a Graded Stakes-winning mare by Harlan’s Holiday. Silver Reunion has produced eight winners, including four stakes competitors, with the standout being Speak Tome of Summer, winner of the G2 Lake Placid Stakes. Additionally, Silver Reunion is the dam of the mother of current G1 victor Millionaire Antiquarian and Grand Prix stakes winner Fondry.
