Alex Marquez is highlighted as a key threat to his victory at the UK Grand Prix this weekend.

Gresini Ducati Rider is the second fastest runner at pure pace for most of this season so far, leading the championship twice.

Alex Marquez also recorded the victory of Maiden Motogupu at the Spanish Grand Prix.

The recent crash from the French Grand Prix at Wettleman proved costly for Alex Marquez.

Mark Marquez, who joined the British Grand Prix this weekend with Silverstone, believes the flowing nature of the UK venue will fall into his younger brother’s strength.

“Of course we showed good speed on every circuit,” said Championship leader Mark Marquez.

“Qatar was one of my most important GPS. Now we’re reaching Silverstone, where I expect Alex (Marquez) to be fast there.

“It’s usually better than here (in Le Mans) because of his riding style.

“So let’s see if we can get closer to the top guys, and that’s what we’re targeting.

“And the most important goal for me is to reaffirm what we tried and what we tried here at the Jerez test.

“We’ll see if it works with Silverstone because it has a completely different layout, racetrack and riding style.”

Alex Marquez has his recent solid format with Ducati Silverstone run by Grecini, as he finished sixth in the sprint and seventh in the Grand Prix last year.

In 2023, he navigated through the wet state of the Sprint to win his first Saturday victory and his first victory of the year.
