Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda appears to be a target for Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window.
It’s no secret that Liverpool need more depth in their attacking line. They identified the Japanese representative as a potential target. According to a report in 1908.NL, Liverpool signed the 27-year-old as a solution to their attacking problems, especially after Alexander Isak was sidelined for a significant period of time with a fractured fibula.
Ayo Ueda is in great shape
The Japanese international is currently in great form, scoring 19 goals in 25 official games. He is on Liverpool’s shortlist alongside several other attacking players, including Karim Adeyemi, Igor Thiago, Omar Marmouche and Bradley Barcola.
It will be interesting to see if they make a formal offer to sign the player from the Dutch team, depending on their interest. It is not difficult to convince the attacker to join the club. It would be a huge opportunity for him and he could well be tempted by a move to Liverpool.
Liverpool have had a disappointing start to the season and are currently in 4th place in the league. They invested a large amount of money at the beginning of the season and were expected to win the league. They will be desperate to bounce back strongly in the second half of the campaign and close the gap on their rivals.
Ueda could be a useful addition
This Japanese attacker will certainly contribute to the team’s growth in the second half. He has the technical attributes to thrive in English football and will be excited to take on a new challenge at this stage of his career.
Wataru Endo could play a key role in convincing his talented player to move to Anfield. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
