Antoine Semenyo has dominated the transfer news in recent weeks, with a number of clubs vying to sign him. Bournemouth accepted losing him early in the January transfer window, and he himself is currently deciding where he will play next.

Manchester City have been in control for much of the story, but Liverpool are still there, as is Arsenal. But the former seems to have won the competition.

According to Football Insider, Mick Brown has revealed that Antoine Semenyo has decided to join Man City in January.

“Semenyo has made up his mind. He has spoken to his agent and contract officials about where he wants to go and now the club has been informed of his decision. It seems he has made the decision that he wants to join Man City, so now they are trying to get him over the line quickly.”

“It’s always going to be a difficult choice when Man City and Liverpool come knocking on the door, and Man United have been thrown into the mix as well. That’s good because he has those options and can decide where he wants to go and what’s best for him.”

“So he seems to have decided that Man City is the best fit. He will want to work with Pep Guardiola and fight for trophies, so fair play to him, this is a great decision. It will be a big blow for Liverpool because they really wanted him, especially because of what’s happening with Isak and Salah.”

Is Manchester City the right move for Antoine Semenyo?

The lure of playing under Josep Guardiola has no doubt crossed Semenho’s mind and he is sure to play a lot for Man City. In this respect, this is a logical move.
