Manchester United are interested in signing Ecuadorian midfielder Edison Castillo.

According to Soccer Ecuador, Manchester United are keen to sign the 17-year-old, with a transfer fee of €6.4 million. Manchester United certainly have the financial power to make a deal, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to sign a young player in the coming months.

Manchester United in talks to sign Ederson Castillo

Manchester United have already started direct negotiations with LDU Quito. It will be interesting to see if they then make a formal offer and complete the deal. The reported asking price is quite reasonable for a player of his caliber. Castillo could develop into a key player for Manchester United in the future and easily justify the investment. The Red Devils need more quality and depth in the middle of the park and the 17-year-old could be a long-term prospect.

The opportunity to join a Premier League club would be a very exciting one for the South American midfielder. He may not be a regular starter for the Red Devils, but with the right guidance he could develop into an important player. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.

Can Manchester United sign Castillo?

Manchester United are not yet past the negotiation stage for the youngster.

If they decide to make him a concrete offer, a deal should be very easy. They are one of the biggest clubs in the world, the players will be excited to join them and they have the financial power to accommodate LDU Quito’s demands.
