According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli is looking to make Rasmus Hojlund’s loan from Manchester United a permanent deal.

The renowned Italian journalist stated that the Red Devils could profit from Hojlund, who has been with Napoli on loan since the summer of 2025.

Romano noted on his YouTube channel: “This is excellent news for Manchester United, as Napoli has indicated that their commitment to Hojlund is merely a formality.”

“This transition is expected in 2026. There were previous concerns regarding Napoli’s market limitations, but that doesn’t affect Hojlund’s situation.

“Manchester United will receive €50m (€44m in outstanding obligations plus €6m in loan fees) upon finalizing Hojlund’s transfer, which is significant for their finances. This is part of why United is keen on investing in 2026, as this deal will provide them with new funds.”

“Additionally, looking at the Jadon Sancho scenario, they have a hefty sell-on clause for Mason Greenwood, and there are ongoing discussions about Marcus Rashford’s future.”

“All of this will contribute to new revenue for Manchester United.”

This news is crucial for soccer fans as it signifies potential financial flexibility for Manchester United, allowing them to reshape their squad. Hojlund’s permanent move not only strengthens Napoli but also highlights the evolving dynamics of player transfers in European football.
